About tour

This tour we don't start with breakfast but with a morning coffee since breakfast awaits us at near Sinj, which is a forty minutes drive from Split. Breakfast will be served at an open space on a traditional Dalmatian inland property. Parallels can be made with Italian or French properties inside the country, not at the coast, where people are engaged in farming and animal husbandry and where Agrotourism, Culinary tourism, and Enotourism are well developed. After breakfast, we head to a place named Vrlika where we are going to observe the spring of river Cetina which is the River that supplies Split and its surroundings with water. Also, we are going to see the Church of Holy Salvation which is quite important for Croatia, since it is the only pre-schism church constructed with a bell tower which is still standing. Then we head towards Knin, Croatian royal city, and one of the oldest cities in Croatia and in Europe where we are going to see one of the biggest and well-preserved fortresses in Croatia. But enough history let's get back to gourmet and wine tasting part of the tour :). After Knin, it is around 13 o'clock, its the time when we are heading for the first winery on our way. Traditional Croatian dishes will be served for lunch and wine tasting will take place. In this tour, we will visit two wineries. One is specialized in red wine and the second one in the white wine. Expect to try dishes like Soparnik, Veal under bake, traditional sweets and desert alcoholic beverages. We return to Split at around 17 o'clock.
